hello I can't get any load on new driveshaft bearings I have tightened the nut all the way and it is just snug. the manual says 6-10 in lbs on new bearings. Just wonder if it will hurt to go ahead and put it in the bravo one drive.

I have two of these drives on my formula 29, I have replaced the driveshaft seal on each one before without any problems. This is the first time I have had to replace the two bearings. There were no shims on either one when I did it the first time.

not sure if it is the same on a bravo but on an later alpha gen 2 if reusing bearings that have been tightened to a rolling torque you have to split them back apart then tighten them.

that's the u-joint assembly...the "driveshaft" is in the lower...

was the spacer free when you pressed the bearings onto the pinion gear?
