Are you sure it's 125"J"X9B and not 1251X9B?
Force motors had a somewhat murky history. They started as Chrysler outboard that was bought out of bankruptcy by Bayliner and marketed by US Marine. Brunswick bought Bayliner and gave Force to Merc.
Merc never tooled up to make these motors. They cobbled together parts left over from Chrysler and US Marine along with discontinued Merc parts that were laying around and basically cobbled together a "franken outboard".
The 1989 model was one of the worst in terms of "cobbling" - as they ran out of part "A", they grabbed part "B" and made it fit.
This resulted in no less than 54 "different" versions of the 1989 125 horse Force.
So if your "model" is exactly as you posted it is in "addition" to the "known" 54 variations out there and who knows what you have. Any given part could have originally been on a Merc, Chrysler or US Marine/Force model.
If it's running don't mess with it, if it isn't you may want to consider replacing it with something that at least can be identified and has parts availability.
Sorry if it sounds harsh, but these were built as inexpensive and somewhat "disposable" motors.
