Hello
I have a 20 hp mercury outboard. I am having trouble figure out the year,model ect..Also I’m also unable to order parts by s/n
I’m hoping someone might be able to give me info
There is a tag on the foot
7149029 made in Canada
Thunderbolt
Can’t find a s/n on engine

It is a 1980 / 81 model.----You posted the serial number.-----Your location ?-----A Mercury dealer will find you the parts.-----What parts do you need?

I’m located at High Level,Alberta,Canada
I was looking for the gasket for Cylinder Cover ( water jacket ) it is leaking by the spark plug. The cover has part number
is 1022-6134 on the casting.
When I input s/n online it comes back blank
I was thinking of making my own gasket out of gasket paper made for water pumps ect.. I’m not sure if that would work

Should be available at your local Mercury dealer at about $12.00.----Call with the serial # you posted.----Or search with equivalent American serial # .----Sorry--All simple to me here.
