Unfortunately for me I had an overheat and found this in the lower unit behind the prop. The Exhaust bellows burnt up. Before I get to far into this I thought it prudent to understand where this came from!?
These pieces look like to have been a small subassembly at one point and was a piece of rubber sandwiched between two Stainless plates with holes in them and in the shape of a steel toed shoe.
