Can someone identify this line on the upper part of my outdrive

Good afternoon all, can someone help me identify the line shown in the attached pictures on my 2001 Mercruiser Alpha One Gen II? It's mated to a 4.3L Mercruiser on an 18" Aquatron runabout. It comes down from the upper half/unit of the out-drive and has been capped off by the previous owner. I cannot tell what line that might be from the service manual. remote res oil line connects to a fitting that probaly broke and they capped it to keep the oil in the drive. The res bottle should be inside the boat enpty
 
In your first pic,
Regular oil resistant hose bout a foot long. To safely remove it without breaking the plastic fitting requires some disassembly and a razor knife to slit the hose and safely pull it from the fitting
About a 2-4 hour job
