Hello,
I am struggling a lot to find a CAN miscommunication on a 4 engine verado 300 6L one helm setup with tie bar.

Symptoms:
I have several repeated codes that appear on my control screen:
- There are 6 codes saying the same: Starboard engine was not able to connect to smartcraft system.
- Another code saying the engine is in protect mode.

All of the engines start except the starboard one.
All CAN lines have been reviewed. Resistance is fine, all connectors are fine, fuses correct and all voltages are fine. I even checked CAN lines with an oscilloscope, all good.
I have started the engine bypassing directly to starter. The engine works fine, maintains RPM's and everything is good.
I have swapped (STB and PORT) CCM's on the helm installation.
Was able to reproduce the 6 codes of miscommunication on the port side except the protection mode so I was able to start it .

This boat was abandoned on the harbor for 1 year. Came there with any of that problem, seems no one has touched it.

Could be that the miscommunication and the protection mode are for different causes?

Although once bypassed the Starboard engine ran fine I want to swap Port and Starboard PCM's, would that be possible? I think they are preprogrammed for their position.

Could this problem be caused by an accessory or malfunction on a helm accessory connected to the CAN network?

Happened to me once in a volvo penta, diagnosis said there was a problem with the engine control unit and ended up being the anti-corrosion system...

As I can't see the programming structure on it is difficult to know if that is possible.

English is not my native language and it's my first time posting in this forum, sorry for any typos.

Thanks a lot! Hope you can help me, I am desperate.
