1968 6hp Johnson with worn throttle cam. Pot metal or aluminum? and is worn badly where it hits cam follower. Can this be built up and reshaped with some kind of epoxy or liquid metal, like JB Weld?

I am sure it probably could work but I think you could pick up a used one for a very reasonable price.
