2005 Mercury 60 Hp 3 cylinder S/N 1B196985.
On the top right part of the cylinder head cover is a silver colored fitting, looks to be threaded into a 1/8 NPT on the cover. Visible from the outside looking into the fitting is some type of blue insert. When I run the motor, water is shooting out of the fitting instead of the normal pee hose. Parts list calls for a standard pipe plug. Does anyone know what this fitting is and it's intended use?
