can anyone help with a problem please

I have a Johnson evinrude 25HP mid 80s recently replaced Plugs water pump Cylinder head etc. It starts well and runs just sweet in neutral, fully revving smooth and appears OK. The problem I when i put in gear and under load it will not rev properly sounding like its misfiring. This only happens in gear an when trying to accelerate toward top speed. Any ideas please. Need a model #n Check your compression for both cylinders and report #'s, check that you can get a spark to jump 1/4" using an open air spark checker Others will chime in with more sugestions.

Thanks Will the spark and compression are fine the head and plugs were fitted by a marine engineer and compression etc checked. As said its fine in neutral Could it be the HT leads breaking down under load??
 
It is NOT fine in nuetral.---It just sounds like that to you.---------Use a timing light to see if ignition problems are the cause of the missing.
