i have a 1969 26ft Lyman, Offshore with 250 Crusader Challenge, RH turn, better known as a 327 chevy motor with a Rochester 4 barl carb. i want to rebuild the engine. Where do I find a camshaft? Will a Summit chevy shaft work? Gaskets? Anything that I should know first?? Thanks!

I don't have Crusader Specific data that far back....what I do have suggests you will have a gear driven camshaft so Summit's SBC cams won't work.

Melling used to duplicate the factory (GM) version but don't know if they are still made....others may make them as well.

If not, any competent cam grinder should be able to make one....RH GM SBCs will also have the pistons installed 'backwards'...

If it’s a single engine, why not build it STD rotation? Seems like it would be a lot easier.
