Cam specs 1967 289

i have a 1968 century 15' with a 1967 289 interceptor 210 hp can anybody tell me the specs on the cam

I have a 292 I have torn down to rebuild. Machine shop tells me the cam is worn. Does anyone know the specs on this cam? Is it a special marine cam, or was it normal automotive stock or hi perf cam? Anyone have a source for them?

Cam profile over-lap and/or lobe separation are critical for use with wet marine exhaust. Water reversion is the potential issue.
Yes...... use a Marine profile camshaft, unless your specific, special and/or unique exhaust system would allow otherwise.

Thanks, Rick. I do have a pretty normal wet exhaust, it is a freshwater cooled with heat exchanger using the square style exhaust manifolds. I have not yet heard of a source for replacement cams. I suppose if the specs were known one could have one made. I'm sure that would cost a bunch!
