C150TXRX seems like vapor lock

I have a 15 year old carborated 2 stroke that will start fine at the beginning of the daythen, after a couple of hours off, will not start until I open up the fuel line between the carbs and the fuel pumps. Never seen this on on my motor before. I have seen lots of stuff on the four stroke vapor lock troubles on various forums. Anybody have any experience with this? I appreciate any response.

Yea!! I have seen it however as you indicated mainly w/ 4 stroke carb engines. The issue was that (Wasp) or mud dobbers would fill in the carb vent line causing the lock. Yamaha has some service bulliten,s out. The failure that you are experiencing takes too long to mature to be vapor lock. I would check the feel and operation of the primer bulb, along with a fuel system inspection before you go to far. Thank's Martin

Thanks Martin. Seems to be working well enough to start after a few tries. I'll get a look at it this weekend. I'll post here If I get any info for a cure.
