"}I have a nice looking used boat in my drive way that I need to evaluate before purchasing. It has been sitting out in the weather for two years. I cleaned it today and need to get to more serious issues tomorrow. Boat is an '89 model CC that appears sound and looks great. Trailer is adequate except dry rot tires. Question is the 2003 200 Yami. Batteries were left connected. Wiring needs going over and possibly replacing. Motor looks new on outside. Except for old gas and batteries, what should I do before trying to start motor?"

"Since everyone is too busy fishing to reply, I will see if I can get info on another problem. Starter gear is engaged with flywheel and will not go back down. I had planned to visit repair shop today but spent most of my time trying to find new tires. Tires and engine test scheduled for tomorrow AM. Sams, Wal-mart, and sears did not have 13" trailer tires. TSC and Northern had them already mounted on painted rims."

I keep adding to my own post in the hopes someone may show an interest and offer an opinion.
I finally made it to my mechanic after getting new tires and cleaning the boat. The motor will not turn. Would removing the spark plugs and adding liquid wrench be worth the time? The owner says it ran prior to sitting out for two years. I really like the boat and have not given up buying at some price.
