I want to know if anyone has s

I want to know if anyone has suggestions for parts/repair or replacement of a Mercury Sport Jet 175 horse motor which is not manufactured any more. A chunk is missing right out of the side of the crank case. The serial number is oe373666. Any info would be appreciated
 
They had problems with oil pum

They had problems with oil pump drive gear failure.It is basically an outboard block and a good dealer can help with the parts needed.It can be expensive to repair.
