"There are products specifical
"There are products specifically for boats, however quite costly, and I found that some automotive wax & compounds can be just as effective,I found a New product from Turtle Wax it's a liquid rubbing compound and quite easy to use, it takes a little less effort than using the paste or the Glay bars and also has very good results, Useing a damp applicator
pad apply little at a time queeze out about a
quarter size amount and apply in circular motion spread about 24"x24" at a time working it thurly into the paint ,let set for only 5-8 minutes and remove with a clean cloth, you will start to notice a big defference in the richness of color already,
But dont stop at the compound, I followed up with a
turtle wax paste with the same applied method as the compound, and then used a power buffer for the final shine, and a Note: while doing this all in the shade or inside a garage out of direct sun and heat, it helps to pull the Boat into the Sun and let the wax bake on for a couple hours, this will enhance the shine even more and help to bond the wax to the paint,,, Don't get me wrong!
it's not a walk in the park, it took me a total of 3 days working about 3 hours each day total of 8-9 hours to do My 21' Sportcraft but it was worth every bit of the time, the paint on my boat
was very bleached out and Oxidized,Not to even mention all the scratches it removed from the paint. I only wish I had taken some picture of before, I only have them of the completed work.
You think I should ask for royalties for My testimony
