"my belt snapped not from wear
"my belt snapped not from wear but because the cover was off the engine and a rope got caught on it. did not turn the engine over after it snapped and the rope wound round the cog so that stopped when the belt snapped i hope and everything is still intact.
now im ordering a new one and was gonna jus fit it and hope everything is ok, is there markings on the cogs that have to be lined up before i put on the belt?.
Should i strip the engine? if i go ahead and strip the engine what am i lookin for that could be damaged? im a perficiant motor mecanic but only work on 2t motocross engines normally.
Outboards a old honda. 15hp i think. and pt number for belt is 14400-zv4-0040..
any help much apreciated.
thanks mark..."
