Break in procedure 2008 4.3

[DPW-1900 REGAL]

I have a 2008 Regal with a 4.3 liter volvo penta. I have never had an inboard engine before, only outboards. Does this 4.3 have a break in procedure? Possibly an RPM range for a certain time period? Thanks for any help!

Just curious.... why are we breaking in a 2008 engine? Was/is this a boat that just now sold?

Hey Rick,

yes it is a 2008 that has never been in the water. the dealer went under, so its a bank repo that another marine dealer bought and re-sold.

I'm sure I didn't get a steal by any means. 2008 Regal never in the water 4.3GL volvo penta, and the fast track hull, nice Regal cover, and nice stereo. I paid $19,995. They said new it was 26,000.00??? I was looking at similiar style boats that were used for just a little less. It was a bank repo so it only has engine warranty. I have had 3 bass boats and the only problem I have ever had was a tachometer on one boat. So I don't think not having a hull warranty or instrument warranty is a big deal.
