It has been sitting 3-4 months

It has been sitting 3-4 months raised to the "Trailer" position. Standing on the drive while the down switch on the trim pump is operated does not help. Trim pump sounds like it is operating ok and there is oil in it.

Can anyone comment on what I might need to do to get it operating again?

you need oil in it to make it

you need oil in it to make it work some times the mercruiser switchs don't work try to jump it on the pump and by pass the switch what kind of drive is this
