sounds like one of the bellows

sounds like one of the bellows is ripped

you need to store the boat in the down position not the up

"Yes you are correct the below

"Yes you are correct the below is that ruber hose below I was loking at it in the shop manuel, the only triky think that I see is removing the shift cable and puting it back same as it was. Last year I rebuild my motor myself heads valves etc, a mercruser V8 high performance but when it comes to the drive I am a litle scared, as a profesional do you belive that taking out the six elastic stop plastic nut & washers from the bell housing, change both belows and O rings and put back toghether is a non brainer ? Is there any litle trick that you recomend in this next job that I am about to do ? Do I need any special tools for this job ? Thanks again for your response"

""Last year I rebuild my motor myself heads valves etc, a mercruser V8 high performance.""

And you are scared of a little outdrive? dont be frightened, it wont bite, if you havent already got a manual, pick one up, have a read and go your hardest.

""as a profesional do you belive that taking out the six elastic stop plastic nut & washers from the bell housing, change both belows and O rings and put back toghether is a non brainer ?""

As a proffesional, most of us make great amatures.
Seriously though the bellows is not a bad job, there is a bit of time and fiddling involved for a first timer but if you step by step the job as per a manual you will breeze it in.

There are literaly Thousands of years experience involved with the contributors to this site, if you get stuck just ask.

"Pete said it, get the manual

"Pete said it, get the manual and follow the steps, and as for a non brainer, nothing on a boat is a non brainer, but then again, there are no stupid questions. take your time and have fun!"

"Make sure you only use Mercru

"Make sure you only use Mercruiser Bellows Adhesive. IT IS HIGHLY FLAMABLE--NO SMOKES. It would also help you to have a bellows spreader tool. Just do as the boys have said; FOLLOW THE BOOK, STEP BY STEP. You can do iiiiiiiiiiT!"
