Bravo 3 with one prop?

Hi guys,
I know this sounds silly, but I've taken a liking to fishing with my bowrider. It's a Crownline 230 ex with a 5.0 mpi and Bravo 3 drive. I've gone down to a 22p vs the original 24p props, but it's still too fast for trolling for Salmon. I've been messing around with a drift sock, that works, but twists after a while and is a PITA. Is there any harm in running a bravo three with only the first prop? Maybe that will slow me down another 1 to 3/4 MPH at dead idle. This of course wouldn't be my standard mode of operation, only when trolling the big lake (Michigan).

Any thoughts would be much appreciated,
Tim

Trolling plate like "Happy Hooker"

This type will let you use the boat motor with power steering and autopilot. There are many types on the market and their worth it because the method of drift socks, dragging buckets/ or using deployment parachutes is a pain in the stern. Ya got to love it when a nice fish gets off your line because it went into the junk!

Ayuh,... That's Why I tie the socks off the Forward cleats,...
They run up beside the hull, out of the way...

Thanks guys,
I looked into the trolling plate, I've also got a "dolphin" style plate bolted to the cavitation plate, that makes the trolling plate hard to mount. Good idea about the drift sock up front, I'll try that.
A kicker would be a PITA on my boat with the swim platform hanging off of the stern. It would be sweet though.

Take care,
Tim
