Bravo 3 streaking in water

Sheen in the water when its running. Pressure tests ok at 15psi. Changing bearing carrier just because. Not sure what else to do.

You need to do a vacuum test also.

Why would you change the carrier assuming the pressure test passed?

Is the engine burning oil possibly?

Is it running too rich possibly?

Are your trim cylinders leaking?

Is this a closed cooling system?

Lots of other possibilities

Drive Oil was leaking from between the prop and the case when they pulled it out of the water.

What condition is the carrier in?

Vacuum tests are not recommended on Bravo out drives due to the design of the labyrinth style seal on the input shaft. (will not hold vacuum.)
