"I have a 2004 formula pc37 with 496ho's, bravo 3 counter rotating outdrives. I took the boat out this weekend and one prop was ventilating as I hit 3000 rpm. Props are in perfect condition, outdrives were trimmed down. As i inspected the drive units, the starbaord drive has about 8" to 12" of side to side play while the port drive was stationary and hard to move, as it should be. I had no movement of the steering wheel as I move the starboard prop. It looked as if the tiller had no movement, but still the drive had side to side play. Any idea's before my boat yard lays up the boat for repairs?"
