My Mercathode gets substantial growth each year all over the housing, including 'the wire' - should I paint the exterior housing, not 'the wire' with either Trilux or transducer paint ?

Thoughts ?

You could run her more often, And scrub l/u once in a while, Bottom paint should slow down the growth process, but once you use a brush on l/u the growth will accelerate!! Do not paint over anodes

"Run her more often" - Ha! - from your mouth to G*D's ears ! Kids sports and life get in the way - but she gets run at least once or twice a week.
"Scrub" I do scrub her but you can't go near the active wire on the bottom.
"Paint" - which brings me back - Trilux or transducer paint ? I don't want to effect the mercathode'ability !

Probably safe to paint the housing, but not any parts that are electrically active. I'd use transducer paint if the housing is plastic and trilux if its metal.
