Brand new 470 camshaft?

Sorry to bug you guys but there is a guy on breezeworks looking for a new camshaft for his 470 motor. Apparently, he is in the process of rebuilding the motor and was going to have Delta cam regrind the end but found out the cam was damaged in some way and was unusable. Anyways, I was trying to steer him towards ebasicpower.com but they are backordered for that particular part. Anybody on this site know of any other sources for the purchase of a 470 camshaft? Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much, Tom
 
Oye! Good luck with that! I would say go buy a junk motor that isn't too rusty and take the cam out of that and have it reconditioned. Probably cost way less than buying a new one if you can find one.
 
for the $400+ list price, I'd be surprised if you couldn't get a custom cut one.

Thanks PugetSounder and Makomark for the heads up. Was just trying to help someone on another site. ebasicpower has them but they are backordered and the original was screwed up somehow. Well, I guess he will have to wait! lol
