bottom end to get to water pump

I've removed all the bolts at the bottom of the bottom end and can move the it around an inch down. It lowrs more when I put it in reverse. but can't get it free. I've been reading about screws under carbs to release but I can't find anything there. Is it a screw or a bolt head. engine is a Johnson VRO 50 from 1985.

Remove the starter !-------------Makes it easier to see the connection.

Haha! Just come in from the garage and that is exactly what I did and he presto there it was. Thanks for the help. As you said water pump is knackered, so replacing that....
