"I bought my first boat last summer and it has run great until this year. At the beginning I would turn the key and only hear a click, but after two or three turns it would always fire right up. Now, I turn the key and only clicks, I bought a new battery and still only a click. I hit the starter with a hammer a couple times and still nothing. Any suggestions with what this could be? I am hoping I do not have to buy a new starter but if I did I would like to put it in myself, is this a hard task? Any other things I should check first?
