boat leak???

Hi
last fall my boat suddenly took on water and the motor stalled.Its a 1987 searay weekender.Istarted the pump and it went down.Tokk it in and found the wash down fittingwas cracked.I thought i had it but found this spring I had water in the driveshat bellow.I couldnt find a tear and wondered if the bellow would also flood the engine comaprtmentI also wondered if the water in the boat could get into the bellows from inside the boat.Thanks for helping.

If water gets to about 2 inches below the input shaft it can enter the bellows

thanks for your reply.The boat sat all winter and you would think if there was a tear it would be dry.
A good bit of advice for others if they to get extra water in the baot.To check the bellows.
