Boat cranks but won't start.

I have a 1992 4.3lx Gen II alpha 1. I had a fuel supply problem that I just fixed with a new anti siphon valve. The boat ran for 2 minutes and died. It is getting fuel to the carb. It is like I'm not getting a spark. I replaced the ignition coil but still nothing. Any ideas?

Ayuh,... Is there Power at the (+) terminal on the coil,..??

I'm not sure. What's the best way to test it? I have power to everything else. Starter, fuel pump, gauges, radio, lights, etc.

test light ot voltmeter, have you actually checked for spark by holding the coil lead close to a good ground.

Others with better knowledge can address more complex reasons, but did you check the kill switch? Same thing happened to me last year.... cord did not pull free, but enough tension to trip. Motor cranked but would not fire. Hope it is nothing major.... best of luck.

I'm reading 12.4 volts on the positive side. I couldn't get a ground on the negative post of the ignition coil. I had to use the engine to get a ground. I would think this means I have a ground issue with the wires connected to the negative post. But I've been wrong before.
