Bleeding oil resevoir/lines?

I just finished a few repairs which involved removing the oil tank from my 2003 40HP (40TLRB) Yamaha outboard. According to my Clymer manual I have to bleed the air from the lubrication tank and lines. There is suppose to be a bleed screw on the oil pump but on this engine there is not. Anyone have any idea how to bleed the air from the system on this engine?

An image of the oil pump below. Of course that is the nastiest part of the engine lol.

I premix fuel and oil in a tank and pull off an output oil line from the pump and run the engine. Remove the oil feed line from the tank on the pump, let some oil drip from the line and re attach it, then fire it up.
