Black max trim question

I have a 89 merc 150 hp blk max. I live in an area where it is quite cold in the winter. Should I always keep it trimmed down so it drains and no water freezes in lower unit or is that going to put too much pressure on the hydraulic trim system?
Thanks

When I used to leave my boat outside, I always stored my motor in the down position so it drained.
How would this hard on the hydraulics? They are fully retracted at this point.

I have normally left it trimmed down, but I just noticed a sticker on the back of the trim plate that says; oil in trim system under pressure when engine is trimmed down. So I just wonder if I should always leave it trimmed down or not.
Thanks for the advice, Rob

Doesn't sound right to me. When motor is down/relaxed, there is very little stress or weight on the hydraulic piston. I store mine part ways down and resting on a wooden pin. Why? When I move the boat and trailer, there is more ground clearance. Transom saver is used in long distance transport. When motor is trimmed UP, that is when pressure is on the hydraulic cylinder/piston. Never leave it like that but support with some wood, or something safe.
