Bilge Pump fail to turn on automatically.

My bilge pump failed to to turn on by itself, but will turn on if I activate the switch. It appears to me that the float switch is not working. I have looked around but can't see the float, perhaps it has an internal float or sorts.

Can someone tell me how to fix the float issue or do I have to get a whole new pump? Thank you folks.

If you can't see a float switch then either it is internal to the housing or it does not have one. Pull it out and have a look. One last thing...some are installed w/a separate power source to it from an auxilliary battery. Check for that source and an in-line fuse.
