BF225 Ignition Switch New vs Old Help

This is for 2003 BF225A3 XA & BF225A3 XCA

One of my ignition switches is bad and when I ordered the replacement part, 35100-ZV5-003, the wires that connect to the harness are completely different. Do I need a different ignition switch or can I splice/solder the old wire plugs onto the new switch? Most of the colors match up but the new one has black/yellow wires for black/red where there are two plugs instead of two wires attached to the same post, one goes to the harness and the other goes to the control panel kill switch (I Think).

It looks like if I cant splice/solder the wires, the only other option is to order the whole control panel for dual motors which is about $385.

A picture of your key switch panel would help. There were a couple of different panels used in 2003. But since you are having trouble doing so, you could check out page 6 of the Accessory Catalog. https://cdn.powerequipment.honda.com/marine/pdf/accessories/key-switches.pdf

If you see the key switch that you think is yours....google some of the part numbers for the entire key switch assemblies (in the left column) and that should verify your selection.

Thanks, Mike! I saw that last night online and my panel is [FONT=&quot]36652-ZW7-310AH and that replaced 36652-ZW7-110AH. It is calling for 37752-zw7-3a, but no one has one in stock and we are going away for the week of the 4th for vacation. Plus if it is not right, then im down another $75 and lost 2 days waiting. I'm probably going to order the panel and just replace it all. I hope it all matches up.
