For some reason my boat (bought used) did not have a check engine light or alternator light (but does have the temp and oil pressure ones). The engine is a 2004 Honda BF225. I decided to add one of the 4 way combo ones in a 2" gauge spot in the dash since I had a spot open. I got it plugged in to the correct plugs in under the console (matched wire colors). The temp and oil pressure work, but check engine and alternator did not. Popped the top on the engine and noticed that there is a 3pin connector that I hooked the gauge into that goes to.....nothing. There doesn't seem to be a connector on the engine that it could plug into. I did look and notice a green 6-pin block that has nothing going into it that had the same 3 wires on the same side (plus 3 other ones), even in the same order. I did a little searching online and found this cable 3185-ZW5-000 that from picures seem to have a 6P on one end and 3P on the other with the correct wire colors. However, this is way too long. I just need basically an adapter or 6" version of this. Does anyone know of such a part? I could buy the longer one and re-run the cable, but would much rather just use the one that is there and already part of the harness (the one going from the motor to the console).
