"I presently have a 4year old Trogan grp 27 starting battery connected to each of my BF225's. They have worked fine for the 3 1/2 years I have had the boat. I did have one go dead after sitting for 2 weeks. I was able to cross start from the other battery.
I found Odessey 1500 AGM batteries for $159 ea and am thinking about replacing the Trogans. The Odessey's are grp 34 size but the cranking amps seem to be adequate.
Does anyone have any experienc with using the Od... with the 225?
Rather than go with a larger AGM, I think that I would rather just replace with grp27 Trojans like I run now.
