"The manual rates this motor to run between 5-6000 RPM and for years never ran over 3500. When I did try it couldn't pass 4000 at WOT. When I discovered I had overfilled engine oil level I removed about 8 oz excess and found WOT had moved up to 4750. What was going on internally and have I done any damage. Should I be satisfied with the new max rpm, or investigate further?"
