I have a Honda BF15A I use for trolling. It worked great for several years but recently it will not idle. It happene once before and I adjusted the mixture screw on the carberator which fixed it at that time but now I cannot get it to idle at all. It will run at high speed but as soon as I try to slow it down, it stops comlpletely. I replaced the fuel filter and the spark plugs. Any other suggestions before I take it to a mechanic?

Sounds like your idle passage is clogged. You might try one thing before you go to the mechanic (probably for a carb job).

Turn your idle mixture screw in until it seats. Count the number of turns to get there so you can put it back correctly.

Take out your idle mixture screw and spring. Take some brake clean with the skinny straw that comes with it, stick the straw into the idle mixture screw hole and give it a few quick blasts. You might get lucky and clear the blockage. It all depends where it is. Put your screw back in to the correct number of turns out and give it a try.
