I’m working on a 2005 bf150 that is not getting fuel. External boat fuel filter is not getting fuel. Tank, lines, fittings and fuel are all new.
One of the wires on the water separator ( part # 16805-ZY6-003) is broken off at the plastic cup.
Will this cause the fuel pump to not turn on or cause running issues?
I opened the housing for the fuel filter in the vapor separator unit and turned the key but did not start it and fuel came out. I assume that means the electric pump is working.
The O-ring at the fuel filter housing was broken so that may explain why fuel pressure was not building up.
I’m trying to decide if I need to order a new cup ($150) or the motor will be fine without it
working.
