Hello I just finished rebuilding the lower unit on a Honda bf130a. I noticed that the endplay seems excessive. There is only a spec for the LCD and XCD style. LD and XD style use thrust bearings that are between the reverse bevel gear and propeller shaft. The initial failure was that the customer ran it with out oil and damaged the bearings. The forward bevel gear had some wear from the prop shaft riding on it. all the other hard parts seemed to be reusable. So some questions I have are: is there a spec for endplay on the xd and ld model? Could the end play be caused from the prop shaft wearing down the forward bevel gear?
