BF130 VST Float

I have a BF130 that is leaking gas only while running. I could not determine where the leak was coming from in the water. Once I got it home, upon pumping the bulb I could see gas pouring out through the rubber seal on the extension case. Through searches on here I am almost sure that I have a stuck VST float as there is fuel in the filter above it which I have read on here there is not supposed to be.

So my question is, as I am a novice mechanic especially when it comes to these four stroke motors, what exactly is the process to free the float? I just want to make sure of the process before I start digging into it in case it is something that is best left to a more experienced mechanic.

Thanks

I drained the VST, opened it up and cleaned the needle valve as it was sticking and not allowing the float to fully close the valve.

good to hear it was an easy fix! Thanks for the follow up, I think everyone who takes the time to read these posts appreciates hearing the solution!
