BF 90 Tilt ant trim repair

Greetings, New to forum. I have a 1997, Honda BF 90 AT. The lower pistons have a eye dropper leak at tilt. I noticed a small amount of oil slick on the water and pulled the boat. Can the two lower pistons be rebuilt without removing the engine from the boat? The center lift piston seems fine. Also how often should I replace the two rocker guides that these two pistons ride on when in trim?
Thanks,
Jim

You should be able to remove them if you tilt the motor all the way up and lock it in place. If for some reason, you need more clearance, you can remove the pin at the top of the center lift rod and lift the motor a little higher.

I do not have an answer on the rocker guides. I am assuming that they are the plates that the ends of the pistons come in contact with on the engine. I can not find them in the parts diagrams. I have never changed them (if they can be changed...I do not have a 90 here right now to look at). I would assume, that if they are very worn, it would be good to replace them.
