Best routealready bored 30 over

i just had a cylinder bored ou

i just had a cylinder bored out on my '79 mercury 150 v-6. the machinist bored it 30 over but still has an indention near one of the ports. he said that if he went 60 over it prob. still wouldnt clear it up. since its not on the cylinder wall and near the a port hole would it affect the performance or might it mess up the new rings. or would my best bet be to go ahead and have a sleve put in and bored back to standard piston? before i send this i want to thank everybody for there help so far. i wouldnt be this far with it if it wasnt for you guys. thanks

How close in inches to the exhaust port is "near"

Exhaust ports are in the middl

Exhaust ports are in the middle (not the bottom) of the cylinder.Unless you are specific in your verbal description we can only give you "near" and "maybe" answers
