My boat is on an EZ Loader from 1984 and the paint is in terrible condition. The trailer, itself, is in bad shape but the immediate issue is the fenders- they seem to be powder-coated and nothing has had much effect on it- paint stripper, carb cleaner, MEK and others haven't done what I want, which is to wipe or spray the solvent on and watch it blister before wiping it off. I know, I want it all, right?
I know I can use a right angle grinder or polisher with an abrasive disc, but I'm trying to avoid making everything go airborne.
Is the best plan just to sand the fenders, use a good primer and top coat? I really want the paint to stick.
Thanks
