77 mercruiser 120. with the bellhousing off, what would be the order of installation of the bellows and the lower inlet hose....
i thougt i could put the hose on last but now i dont think its gonna happen.. my dog shedded the repair manual!!!!<---true:)

More than one way to skin a cat. I put ujoint bellows on bell housing along with shift cable and cable bellows. Look for "TOP", "FWD" marked on clamp surface of u-joint bellows. Next is intake hose and exhaust bellows onto trans ass. Take bell housing with bellows and cable, and insert cable into trans ass, then pull up into engine compartment, Hope you attached something to the cable when you first pulled it out; helps to pull it back in and to keep it in the same path as before (important - different cable paths depending on model). Attached intake hose to bell housing. Push bell housing forward to get u-joint bellows and cable bellows on. Pull exhaust bellows on to bell housing (tool helps here). Use bellows adhesive. Make sure all clamp fasteners are in the correct position and facing the right direction.

ok thanks for all of your time and info. nothing left to do but get started and see what happens. my big mistake i believe is when i put the exhaust bellows on the bellhousing before i attatched the waterhose to the bellhousing. i will try to go back one step and remove the exhaust bellow then install hose then reinstall exhaust ...hopefully let you know shortly...

thanks guys for the help..had to remove the transom side of the ujoint bellow, then put the water hose on...not exactly by the book but seems to work out ok. got the lower shift cable adjusted correctly... cant wait to drop her in the lake, that will be the real test.
