"when my engine is warmed up,every time i shift from forward to nt my engine cuts out,it will restart first turn of the key.i have had mechanic to change cables but this did not work.the previous owner rebuilt the engine and it runs without missing a beat,apart from when i comeback into the marina berth to park up,i come out of forward into neut,the engine cuts out,please help!!"

Not sure about cobra's but it sounds like the neutral safety switch. On my OMC stringer out drive I just bypassed the switch....

"Almost sounds like 2 problems, the neutral safety switch should not let it start in gear unless it's been bypassed or shorted or just malfunctioning. Also though it should not have anything to do with the engine stalling once it's running as it's only in the start circuit not the run circuit. Could be the previous owner has done some creative rewiring? You may need to get a manual with a wiring diagram to fix this properly."
