I'm in the process of replacing the positive and negative cables that run 18' from the battery neg post and battery switch to the engine.
Currently I have 2awg main cables to the engine on the 18' runs, it's been suggested that I should have 1awg for that length of run. The engine is a 115hp 1996 60 degree.
The 4' cable from the switch to the battery positive is currently 4awg. Should that cable match the rest of the long run, 2awg or 1awg if I move up?
What about the ground cable connecting the deep cycle to the main battery - also currently 4awg?
