Battery cable install

Hi all just got a second hand Honda 50hp 4 Stroke.
The battery cables were not connected to the motor when I got it and I’m unsure where they go.

Also will the tilt switch work on the motor without the controls connected?

Any help would be appreciated as I need to tilt the motor up so I can take it to the mechanic

Somewhere on the leg there should be a Manual Relief Valve. Below is a screenshot of a 9.9 owners manual.

Thanks yeah I got that. Just keen to see if all these items work on the motor as well. I’ll use that as a worse case.

The ground goes on the top of the starter and the positive connects to the fuse and 10 m nut under the black rubber cap
So 2 wires on the positive cable

The manual control on the side of the engine works without control’s connection

Oh perfect so nutural to the top of the starter motor. And positive to the solenoid just under the fuse in the photo?

Yes and make sure you connect that fuse wire with the positive to that terminal
