Hi all
Can anyone help as to the best or correct way in checking the trim leg angle against the trim leg digital gauge, I have the manual on the V/P 290 leg and it tells you to lower the leg fully down, then add 20lbs of weight to the leg and adjust the trim sender show it shows -3 to -4 on the dash gauge depending on what your angle of transom is.

I have no idea what my transom angle is on a 1994 wellcraft 20 excell cuddy, is there any other way of setting up so i can check that the leg is showing the correct angle on the helm gauge

You can adjust the reading at the helm by detaching the toothed thing that is attached to the steering helmet on the drive and playing with which tooth it meshes with on the round trim gear. Make sure the drive is fully down. I never paid attention to my transom angle, I just set it at -4 when fully down.

I guess you could use a protractor and a level on the transom when the boat is in the water if you wanted to know the angle of the transom.
