Does anybody know the dimensions of crankshaft ball bearing 0388771? I can`t find original piece, and I am in search of replacement. Johnson 7,5 hp from 1981.

I doubt it is here. You see that "NLA"? No Longer Available.

Look on the old bearing, on the race, somewhere on the edge, and see if you can find the mgf part number. Timken, etc.

Go to a bearing supply house and get it there.

Should have probably read the whole thing it says they have one in stock.

NLA only means no longer available from the factory it does not mean that some dealerships won't have one sitting on the shelf. I have found many NLA parts on this website such as this bearing it's why I order a lot of parts from here. You can also try dealerships around you they may have one on the shelf, if they don't have it they may find you one at a different dealer.

I cannot count the times "they have one in stock" turned out to be false.
Don't know if that's the case here.
If Marine Engine has it, Great!

Evinrude has a partfinder feature at dealerships where the dealer can look up and find the part, and the closest location where it is to you.
IF it is truly in stock somewhere.

I once was looking for the flat back exhaust cover for a V4 crossflow. NLA. But dealer parts find showed 4 in stock at a large Evinrude dealer in the northeast.
Hey Hey Hey.....Call them up, yes we have 4...exorbitant prices....and the parts were USED.

Dealer was listing used parts as new ones. So, I would find the bearing number on the old one and get it at an auto parts store for 1/4 the cost.

The forward bearing inside the forward bearing carrier of a counter rotating LU is sold for about 75 bucks.
But, upon pulling the bearing out, and reading the numbers on the side, and looking it up...you can get the bearing for about 25 bucks.

Wonder why it had no numbers on the edge, like this one.....
