Hi All,
I'm probably opening myself up to all kinds of ridicule here, but if this way of storing an outboard is OK it would save me some much needed space. I did this temporarily (minutes) while I swapped two motors on outboard stands, but I realized this would be a really convenient way of storing this 9.9 as opposed to putting the outboard stand (I have 2 now) in my basement. The lower unit is off because I'm replacing the water pump anyway.
Does this put too much pressure on the driveshaft housing? It's back up on the stand now, but if this was OK I would rather store it like this.
Thanks,
Rob
