"Drove my 200HP Evinrude 80 mi
"Drove my 200HP Evinrude 80 miles on the weekend with no issues. Started home on Sunday and 15 minutes into the trip got a check engine warning. Turned off, waited a few minutes and started off agian - same thing in 15 minutes. Turned off and alarmed in 8 minutes and then another 8 minutes. Then tried turning off the battery system for 10 minutes and lasted 25 minutes before alarming. Then every 15 minutes.
Started watching the Voltage gauge and noticed that running at 14V then jumped up to 16V then back to 14V then stayed at 16V and alarm went off. We were in choppy water so running at about 2/3 throttle.
Hooked up diagnostics and got code 27 intermittent for 21 events (Battery voltage above expected range).
Any suggestions trouble shooting? Is this most likely to be the regulator or the stator. Any simple testing methods?"
